Going Too Far
Of course we're all here because we want to lose weight, but when you eventually become obsessive about your weightloss, exercise, and calorie counting that's when eating disorders start being developed. You start hating yourself even more than you did before, you'll fast, you'll binge/purge, and you just won't be happy. For many years I was bulimic with anorexic behaviors, and I actually still am. I'm trying to recover, but anyone with an ED knows that it's quite a tough effort. It's important to live a happy and healthy life, but with an ED that is simply impossible. Make sure you're aware of your body's needs. If you're really hungry then EAT. Eating doesn't make you fat, eating junk food does, but eating right doesn't. Anorexia and Bulimia destroy your body. It's best to try and recover when you're younger so that you don't carry it into your adult years. If you need help but don't know what to do, please PLEASE talk to a parent, social worker, friend, relative, et cetera, that you trust! Believe me, I know you won't want to recover but it's really the best thing for you to do. Overcoming huge things like an eating disorder really prove how strong of a person you are.
